Empowerment Day
Originally launched in 2006 as Young Women’s Empowerment Day, this event has grown to include all youth. This annual event features a day of workshops and leadership development for all youth.
The 2025 event was co-presented with the City of Tracy – Grand Theatre Center for the Arts, and the chapter collaborated with the Tracy Unified School District to host nearly 200 middle school students and participants.

Delta Academy
Delta Sigma Theta is a historically African American public service sorority, and Delta Academy is one of its national youth programs designed for girls aged 11–14.
Our Delta Academy program places particular emphasis on ensuring that our young girls are ready and prepared to be leaders in the ever-changing world of the 21st Century, through science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
Participants attend monthly workshops on Saturdays during the school year, engage in community service and develop their leadership skills.
Delta GEMS
Delta Sigma Theta is a historically African-American public service sorority, and Delta GEMS is one of its national youth programs designed for girls aged 14–18. Delta GEMS (Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully) provides a framework to help young women achieve academic success, develop leadership skills, set goals, and engage in community service.

Love You Project
The Love You Project seeks to provide tangible support, serve, and demonstrate loving acts to our community members experiencing personal hardships. Community service outreach activities include efforts in support of women, children, the elderly and veterans.
Physical and Mental Wellness
We believe health is the foundation of a thriving community. We work to make that real by delivering health education programs, hosting and participating in health fairs, and sharing information about physical and mental health to the communities we serve.
We also support research and awareness on health diseases and issues that disproportionately affect African Americans and other underserved populations.

Financial Fortitude
We recognize the value of financial literacy and the integral role it assumes in constructing stability, access, and financial freedom. As we strengthen this skill, not only does our solvency expand, but our collective capacity to give, serve, and educate does too. Financial Fortitude serves to secure a future where communities can thrive and prosper.
Arts & Culture
The chapter supports and hosts community events that highlight the vibrancy and richness of African American culture, creativity and self-expression.

International Support
The chapter educates members and communities on global issues, focusing heavily on human rights, the African Diaspora, and the socioeconomic needs of women and girls in developing nations.

Social Action
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has been committed to service through social action since our founding in 1913. Our 22 Founders participated in the Suffrage March of 1913, just two months after establishing the Sorority, and our members have been at the forefront of social and political struggles ever since.
Chapters and members are engaged in a variety of social action activities focused on enacting laws and policies to sustain and expand the rights and privileges of citizenship to all people and to protect the most vulnerable amongst us.
Tracy Area Alumnae chapter initiatives include: community voter registration drives, candidates’ forum collaboration, mental health advocacy, and legislative engagement, advocacy and issue tracking.
