Before the programs, the service projects and the community events, there is a calendar. And before the calendar, there is a room full of sorors with a plan.

Members of the Tracy Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated gathered recently for the chapter’s annual planning retreat, setting the programs and activities that will carry the chapter through the upcoming sorority year.

The day centered on the work that defines the chapter: scholarship, service, sisterhood and fellowship. Committees mapped out initiatives, dates were locked in and priorities took shape.

The result is a year of programming built with intention.
