The Heartbeat of Change: Rooted in Legacy, Rising in Purpose

Event Overview

This event is dedicated to recognizing and highlighting the rich history of African Americans and the invaluable contributions of their ancestors, whose legacies have profoundly shaped the country.

Program Highlights

The celebration will include a keynote address, captivating Afro-centric drumming and dance performances, youth performances, an art showcase that reflects African American culture and heritage, and a selection of culturally curated food. In addition, Community awards will be presented to honor the pioneers of the past and those who act with purpose to guide us into the future while staying true to the founding values that define this legacy. The 2027 event, themed “The Heartbeat of Change: Rooted in Legacy, Rising in Purpose,” is open to all community members.
